Building brighter futures
Building brighter futures
Welcome
A warm welcome to our vibrant and inclusive international school community where pupils, parents and teachers participate in a holistic learning environment focussed on building the very brightest of futures for every child.
The essence of Le Verseau’s culture and philosophies are evident in everything that we do as we strive to develop our students’ full educational potential and prepare them not only for what they will learn for their future careers but who they will become in the process.
Our school
Our school is organised in 3 main sections interconnected by the common thread of the joy of learning and the encouragement of students to develop a deep understanding of themselves.
Through rigorous yet caring teaching, we help each child discover who they are, find their place in the world, and realise their potential. We encourage active engagement, deep thinking, and openness to others — not only to foster academic excellence, but also to nurture a sense of responsibility and a positive impact on society. At Le Verseau, learning also means growing, thriving, and shining.

English at le Verseau
The inclusion of English into Le Verseau’s academic structure is a fundamental aspect of the school’s founders’ vision to provide the very best opportunities for children and in our mission of building brighter futures.
Our integrated curriculum and external programmes span from initial introduction to the language and confidence building through to enhanced modules that develop valuable skill sets in oral, written and practical communication.
Students in the Kindergarten and Primary sections benefit from an enhanced and tailored English curriculum from an early age. This learning opportunity is made possible thanks to donations from the association Les Amis du Verseau.
In Secondary school the Enhanced English Programme is provided as an extra-curricular activity through another of our not-for-profit partners, Verseau Sports, Arts & Langues (VSAL).
Le Verseau-ELCE Gosselies
ENSEIGNEMENT SECONDAIRE TECHNIQUE ET PROFESSIONNEL
Since 1996 Le Verseau Secondary has been called Ecole Internationale le Verseau – ELCE, having merged with a Hairdressing and Beautician school called Ecole Libre de Coiffure et d’Esthétique, situated in the centre of Gosselies, making one legal entity. In practice, the Head Teacher, Helen Brown, has overall responsibility for both school sites, assisted by two Deputy Head Teachers, one in each location. Helen is based at the main site in Bierges and makes regular visits to Gosselies, to ensure smooth and consistent follow-up across both sites.
